What is paintless dent removal (PDR)?
Paintless dent removal is a process that allows us to remove dents, dings, and other body damage without the need for paint or body fillers used by traditional body shops. This process enables us to restore your vehicle to its original condition at a fraction of the cost and turnaround time of conventional body shop repair work.
How does the PDR process work?
It's not a matter of camouflaging the damage. We use custom-designed tools to gain access behind the affected area. The dents are gently MASSAGED out by making countless numbers of pushes, manipulating the metal back to its original state. This process preserves the vehicle's exterior finish and structural integrity.
Will the PDR process hurt my custom finish?
No. The paintless dent removal process preserves your vehicle's exterior finish and structural integrity.
What size dents can be repaired?
We can repair most non-collision dents. The determining factor is the dent's depth and diameter. A large shallow dent is more repairable than a small extremely sharp dent.
Dents caused by car doors and hail stones are typically completely and permanently removed without any signs of a repair. Larger dents often can only be detected by a trained eye. Most customers are completely amazed, and wish they would have known about our service sooner.
Is Paintless Dent Removal covered by insurance?
Yes, in most cases the cost of paintless dent removal can be included in a claim to repair the damage covered by your insurance policy.
PDR saves your insurance company money on paint, materials, and rental cars. However, please note that paintless dent removal typically costs a fraction of traditional body shop repairs and as a result, is likely to be less than your insurance deductible. This may allow you to repair unsightly dings and dents affordably without needing to file an insurance claim and risk increasing your insurance premiums.
How long does the process usually take?
Minor dent repairs can often be completed in 30 minutes or less. Most dent and ding repairs can be completed in and around two hours.
Are dents only removed from doors?
We remove dents from all panels including your car's roof, trunk, hood and pillars.
Can body line dents be repaired?
Yes. Dents in the body lines of vehicles can also be fixed; they take a little more time and patience than the typical dent. Therefore would take more time to finish the process.
Do you remove the door panel?
99% of the time it is not necessary to remove your door panel. We have specially designed tools that slide behind collision bracing. There are many access areas already on your vehicle.
What factors determine the cost?
The key factors impacting the price of paintless dent removal include the size, depth, and location of the damaged area. A small door ding (size of a quarter, or less) typically costs about $80 to remove.
Is there any cost for an estimate?
No. We provide a FREE no-obligation estimate via our "Request A Quote" page. Simply fill in all the required fields, upload a photo of your vehicles damage, and we will get back to you within one week with an estimate.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes it is necessary to make an appointment. We will be happy to set-up an appointment at a time that is most convenient for you.
MT DENTS Will come to your place of work (if permitted), or you can enjoy the convenience of the repair from the comfort of you own home. Next day appointment times are usually available - same day service is often possible if you let us know early in the day.
